HIV

HIV is a viral sexually transmitted disease and is spread through sexual contact, through sharing infected needles, through blood, and mother to baby during pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding. There are an estimated 32,600 infected each year.

Symptoms

HIV symptoms may not appear for up to 10 years.

Treatments

Currently, it CANNOT be cured. However, it can be treated and there are preventative medications.
