It’s On: The 2027 UT Teen Health Fiesta Medal Contest!

Student-designed UT Teen Health Fiesta Medals from 2013-2026.

In what’s become a UT Teen Health tradition, Youth Leadership Council (YLC) members — made up of high school students across San Antonio — are invited to showcase their design talents in the annual UT Teen Health Fiesta Medal Contest. The winner will have their design turned into a Fiesta Medal, promoting UT Teen Health, and will be featured in an upcoming UT Teen Health newsletter.

A small batch of fiesta medals are produced every year and distributed among our YLC members, partners, and supporters.

Design Guidelines:

  •  Preferred design file types: High-Res PDFs, .PSD (Photoshop), .PNG or .JPG (300 DPI or higher).
  • Artwork should be created in full color.
  • All artwork must be original and created by the YLC member. The medal design may incorporate AI-generated elements, but the entire medal may not be AI-generated. Members must create the overall design themselves.
  • The medal should have a feature that allows for movement or interactivity. Examples of moving components include a spinner, slider, hinged openings, or danglers.
  • Keep the size of the medal in mind when creating your design. It will be around 2 to 3.5 inches in size.
  • Every design must include the words: UT Teen Health and Fiesta 2027

To Enter the contest, you must be a YLC member and submit your artwork by Oct. 19 by 5:00 p.m. to:

  • Briana Patlan: patlanb@uthscsa.edu
